Nothing terribly remarkable about them but they were well written. The plot moved much quicker than a normal contemporary. It had some plot twists that were pretty predictable but still enjoyable.

I was super anxious to see how the story ended and I was pleasantly surprised with the ending. I really loved the entries from Lina’s mother’s journal and it really helped move the story along. The thing I loved about this book the most was it’s sense of mystery. I don’t normally read contemporaries but saw this one on sale and decided to give it a go and I am glad I did! My thoughts: This was a super cute and fun summer read. People come to Italy for love and gelato, someone tells her, but sometimes they discover much more. It’s a secret that will change everything she knew about her mother, her father-and even herself.
